Cold Forming Operator - Medina, Ohio

Requirements:

  • 3-5 yrs of experience minimum in cold forming, forging or stamping
  • Ability to work in a team exploring the best possible solutions
  • HS diploma/GED required, additional training on specific skills preferred
  • Post offer- must have a favorable background check and a negative drug screen
  • Compensation commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

  • Reads prints for product specification
  • Conducts machine set up and operations
  • Transforming metal wire to a product through the use of multi-die headers.
  • Focus on cut-off process that yields a volume of wire exactly needed to the amount of the material to produce the finished product.
  • Two die up to six die blow, multi-die headers forming parts through production and speed
  • Troubleshoot errors, identify wear on dies using inspection and gauges
  • Adjusts timing, cam other settings for wire progression
  • Provides dies to tool service for repairs, assists as needed
  • Preventive maintenance as needed
  • Quality of the product produced- in-process specifications to print, check product with mics/calipers, gauges, comparator and other parameters
  • Follows safe work practices including preventive and predictive maintenance and the proper tools.
  • Stand for long periods of time, occasionally lift up to 50#
